One day about 2 years ago, I loaded up all our recycling materials and pedaled out to the recycle center about 4 miles away. I felt very self-righteous about not driving out there and I felt even more so when I saw an SUV (the second picture, though it's only half in the shot) drive up by me. So I snapped some photos.
I haven't done it since. So much for my self-righteous self.
These are pictures that have been sitting around in my media locker. While I was working on the movies this past month, I went through the media locker and pulled out a bunch of shots that were in storage that I had lost off my hard drive when our computer crashed (during the move). While I was digging around in there I came across these and thought I'd post them.
oh, you've got a thing with wheels that you can attach to the back of your bicycle and carry stuff - I don't think I've ever seen this sort of thing. what's it like cycling with this behind you? must be tricky round corners/bends.
ReplyDeleteit's a cart that they sell for you to carry your old and infirm dog in. but my dog would much rather run. i picked it because it could hold quite a bit of stuff if i wanted to get groceries or such.
ReplyDeletethe dog doesn't like it. she's always worried it's going to swing into her.
it's a lot like the trailers for kids. when you pull forward there's a bit of an extra tug to get it going. it's definitely more work than just the bike alone.
oh, now that you mention it I think I have seen dogs in similar contraptions, just hadn't made the connection. and yes, I've seen people cycling with a kind of kid trailer thing.
ReplyDeleteAt least they're recycling...regardless of what vehicle is used to get the materials there!
ReplyDeleteyeah, that's true.
ReplyDeletestill ironic, but true. ;-)
